Chapter 3.

You woke up the next day to the smell of pancakes. You then got out of bed and got dressed. You then walk to the kitchen to see your dad making your favorite pancakes, while also warring a apron that said kiss the chef. "Good morning [Y/n]." He then sets a giant plate of pancakes in front of you. You quickly gobbled down all of he pancakes. "Thank you daddy." You then run up and kiss him on the cheek. "Here is your flower money." "Thank you daddy." you said again. "Had a great day sweetie." "I will daddy." You then run out of the door and head to the flower store. "Alright now where was the flower store?" You then stop in your tracks and quickly hid behind a building. "It's him." Gaara was walking down the street holding his teddy bear extra close as he walked down the street. A blush came to your cheeks. You then noticed that he was walking with a man with shoulder length blond hair and bright green eyes. When they past you, you then notice the flower store it was right across from where you were hiding. You then quickly  ran across the street and entered the store. You let out a deep sigh. You then look around the store trying to find the perfect flower. You then spotted the red roses. "That one. That one is perfect." You then grab one of the roses and smiled at it, and clenched both of your hands around it. You then drop the rose from a sharp pain in your hands. Your hands start bleeding and you remembered that roses have thorns. The sales clerk saw your bleeding hands and quickly ran to you. "Are you ok." "Yeah I'm fine." you said trying to hold back tears.  She then dragged you to the back of the store and bandaged your hands. "Now how about I take care of those thorns for you." You shook your head. The sales clerk started to remove the thorns. "So is it for your mother or father?" "Oh it is not for my mommy or daddy it is for." You stop just in time to relive what you were about to say. "So it's for a boy?" She say the blush on your cheeks as you shook you head yes. She then started to squealing, twirling in circles, and talked nonsense. She the quickly finished up the rose and gave it to you. She then started scooting you out the door. "Have a great day." she said in a cheery voice. You thought she said something when she turned around. "Oh young love." You then stood there blank minded. *sweat drop* "What just happened?" You shook you head repeatedly until you where back to reality. "Alright now to just find that boy." You then started to head to the park where you were yesterday. Once you were about to enter the park you spotted the boy sitting on the swings and that man was with him still. "Gaara what is wrong you were acting strange yesterday." Gaara looked up at the man. "Yashamaru yesterday a new girl moved into the village and she actually talked to me. But when she saw how I was able to use the sand she ran away." He then looked to the ground. "I think she doesn't like me." Yashamaru's face softened. His eyes started wandering and he then spotted you hiding around a corner of a building. When your eyes met you hid completely behind the building. "Gaara did this girl Did she have [h/l], and was it [h/c]?" Gaara shook his head. "Did she have [e/c] eyes?" "Yes." "Then could that be her over there?" He then shot his head up and looked to where he was pointing. You then peek around the corner again and you jump to see him looking at you. "You decided it was time to come out of your hiding spot now. You then walk over to the swings holding the rose behind your back. "Um.." You looked down at your feet. "Um I-I just
w-wanted t-to say t-thank you for helping me y-yesterday and I w-wanted to give you this." You then held out the rose to him. His eyes widened at the flower. "I thought you didn't like me." You shot your head up. "N-n I-I do like you. I-I think it c-cool that you are able to control sand." A light shade of pink comes to your cheeks. A light shade of pink also came to Gaara's cheek. "[Y/n]." you heard someone yell. You turned around to see your dad. "Daddy." "There you are [Y/n]. I've been looking all over for you." He then noticed that Gaara and Yashamaru. "Yashamaru?" "[your dads man]?" The two men the hugged each other. "Oh my gosh it's been so long Yashamaru." "I know it's great to see you again after so long. W-when did you get here?" "Oh yesterday. The Kazekage had some missions that he wanted me to do.  "Hey how about you and [Y/n] come over for a welcome back dinner?" "Sure that would be great."
[time skip, Yashamaru's house]
There was a ring at the door. "Gaara can you get that?" Gaara then ran to the door and opened it to see your dad and you. "Oh hello Gaara." Gaara looked at you, you then look down at your feet. Yashamaru poked his head out of the kitchen. "Oh [dads name] come in dinner is almost ready."
[Time skip]
You all were sitting around a table and you were drooling at all of the yummy looking foods. "Well dig in, I made plenty." You then took a dumpling. You bit into it and your eyes widened. "Daddy these taste just like mommies dumplings." "Well of course they would Yashamaru was the one who taught your mother how to cook." "Huh?" You tilt your head to the side. Yashamaru put a hand behind his head. "Your mother wasn't the best cook."
[time skip]
You and Gaara were just watching your dad and Yashamaru chug down sake. "What are they doing?" asked Gaara. "I think it's a drinking contest. I remember how daddy would tell me how he would go out and have drinking contests. Apparently the one who drinks the most and not passes out wins." Then they both yell bonzie then they both past out. "I guess they both loose." said Gaara. "Yeah and good thing we got that on camera." There was a camera set up behind you two. You then got up and looked out the window. "It seems a sand storm started. Huh?" You then notice a picture that looked a lot like Yashamaru. You pick up the picture. "Who is this?" "That's my mom." A small smile came to your lips. "She's really pretty." "Thank you. She died when I was born." You turn your head he looked like he was about to cry. He clenched his hand over his heart. "Yashamaru says that my mom died to protect me. He also said that when this sand shields me it is like my mom is protecting me." Tears start you whelm up in your eyes threatening to fall. You dried your eyes with your sleeve. "Hey why are you crying?" I-it is just I know how you feel. You see just a couple of years ago my mommy risked her life to save me from a man who to did mean things to me." She ended up dieing because of me." You could not hold back the tears any more. Tears started to stream from your eyes. Gaara had a panicking face, he had no idea of what to do. He then started to rap his arm around you. You start to hug him back.
[time skip]
"Ugh what happened I have a killing headache." "You had a drinking contest." Yashamaru then finally woke up. "Plus we have it on this camera." said Gaara while holding up the camera. You all then went to the couch and hooked up the camera to the TV. Your dad and Yashamau sat at the ends of the beds while you and Gaara sit in the middle.
[time skip]
"Oh my gosh I can't believe we did that." "TV- bonzie." Turns off TV. "Well I think me and [Y/n] should get going." "I think that's going to be a little hard." Yashamaru said while pointing down at the two of you. You both were fast asleep and you were holding hands, and it looked like you two weren't going to let go anytime soon. "Just let [Y/n] spent the night, it won't be any problem." "Well alright. I guess it won't hurt. Thanks Yashamaru." "No problem." Once your dad left Yashamaru picked the two of you up and tucked you into a bed. "I thought I would never see the day." On the way out of the room he turned around and whispered something. "Good night you two love birds."
